    Powder Dispenser-Electronic

I wanted to add an electronic powder dispenser to my reloading bench. I had been looking at the 2RCBS units. For the last 10 years it looks like their charge master 1500 has been the standard. Their new charge master lite seems to do everything the original does except for some programmable functions and the ability to throw larger charges. Is there A reason to buy the larger model or is it just a dinosaur that is oversized and has outdated technology?
Am I looking at the right brand? I want our unit that is accurate repeatable and robust. Should I be looking at another maker? Thank you in advance for your help.

I don’t have the standard, but the lite was better than a Lyman unit I returned.

I have the original and with the straw mod it has been working well for several years now. The Hornady unit had some teething problems, don't know if they were solved or not. No experience with the Lite version.

Since I do everything on a single stage, that would make it so much easier.

I think it's just a marketing move to make the Lite "affordable".

But the price of the Lite used to be the price of the CM 1500. After rolling out the Lite, the price of the CM 1500 went up.

You can't go wrong with a CM - Lite or 1500.

If you are looking for "accurate repeatable and robust," go analog, get the Culver powder measure and the US-made RCBS 1010.

I'd ask what is it your looking for in a electronic scale/dispenser? Do you want pure speed for loading large batches? Or do you want the most accurate unit with more speed than a manual? What calibers are you loading and what powders?
