    Reloading with copper/polymer frangible bullets?

Does anyone have experience reloading with frangible bullets? I'm talking about bullets that disintegrate into a harmless, lead-free cloud of dust and are safe to fire a steel at close range. I prefer to shoot at ranges between 10 yards and 25 yards. I've been shooting RWS Copper Matrix 9mm and 38 Special, but this type of ammo is getting harder to find locally.

I've been thinking of buying a Ruger Mini-14, but I can't seem to locate any affordable .223 frangible ammo. I don't yet have reloading equipment, but I think it would be worth investing in reloading if I could make this type of frangible ammo for myself.

Anyone out there reloading frangible ammo? Are these bullets available and what is the cost per round of reloading this stuff? Thanks for any advice!

Frangible is great if shooting steel close up

I have found surplus / overruns of loaded Ammo for sale over the years

    Some shoot houses require frangible.

One of the local PD’s only uses frangible Ammo.
I want to say it’s Winchester.

It is expensive stuff to purchase

I have never seen frangible sold as projectiles only
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
