Electronic powder dispensers

I'm looking at powder dispensers like the RCBS Chargemaster. I've seen videos and various models, but was wondering if folks here have had decent luck with them. I saw the RCBS Chargemaster Lite and am leaning towards that. Didn't see much on the Hornady version.

I run the charge master and it is phenomenal, makes match rifle production quick and easy. It meters all my powders really well, I’ve never run flake through it though. It’s easy to drain the extra powder out when you’re done using it as well. Overall I have no complaints and I recommend it.

Chargemaster is great. I have two. Upgrade to an autotrickler but am still using the chargemasters since I haven't had the time to set it up yet.

I have the hornady and I would stay away from it. Personally I don’t like it. I have had from .1 to .4gr variance in powder drops. Yes I let it warm up for a few hours before loading and I only use LED lights above my bench. Now I just use it to throw a charge .2gr below the desired weight then trickle up but the whole point to getting one of these type of units is to not have to do that. Get the charge master like I should of.

Had the older Pact/RCBS, worked great but you had to calibrate for each powder, have a Chargemaster now and it's the Cats Meow

I am having no better accuracy or results with the RCBS charge master (W/straw mod) than devster 55 is having with his hornady.

I have the Charge Master and Love it.

I started with the Lyman, it worked well.

Then a friend told me about the new Pac, so I bought one and sold the Lyman.

What a piece of S$$t, big mistake!

I tried to send it back to Pac, ran into a block wall. Sold it for half of what I paid for it.

Bought the RCBS and have never looked back.

I have the Hornady and haven't really had any problems with it with the exception of with some stick powders. I did the "straw mod" so I don't know if it is attributed to how I did it versus others or if I just got lucky and got a good one. The stick powder issues I had was just going over 1-4 tenths of a grain occasionally. For that powder I just set it low and trickle to my target weight. I'd have to look back in my books to see what powder it was and what weight I was throwing.

I've loaded my match ammo on a charge master for a long time. It does over throw a fair amount, but mine has never been as frequent as I've heard others report. I get SDs between 5 and 8 with it using Varget and H4350 so it's good enough. Could be better but for the price I've got my money out of it. Biggest gripe is the speed, its funny.. when I first got it, it felt like a huge speed increase. Now that I shoot so much it feels like it takes forever. I will probably step up to an autotrickler at some point, but for now, this gets the job done. That v3 is looking pretty attractive.. not having to manage double the over throws running 2 charge masters sounds pretty appealing as well.

I forgot to add that on my hornady I can only use it on slow mode. Any other settings or overthrows and codes.
