Stronger frame, larger diameter ram, angle, easier to access case atop the ram, the priming system alone is light years ahead.

When you see 3 or 4 of the same machines adjacent to one another the craftsmanship is undeniable.
Hold the RC in one had and the BB2 in the other. Blindfolded you would know the difference.

It is over. Start reaching for your money. And then you start feeling guilty because there isn't anything wrong with the old RC,
it still works fine. How can you justify buying the BB2 when the RC is still every bit as serviceable today has it was 40 years ago when you bought it?

There is a big difference between what was a good, no, great purchase for you then, as compared to a new person buying a new single stage press now.

Redding's Big Boss 2 has absolutely eclipsed the faithful Rock Chucker of any era.

Many here will swear, including me, by the RC reliability & durability of a reloading press they bought in the 70s or 80s
when the RCs technological improvements were actual improvements over the competition.

In the 70s & 80s, and lucky for us, no one successfully steered us into 1940s reloading technology. Anyone here who bought a RC then
was called insane because they spent thirty percent more for a better Press.

Today, nothing has changed. The cost of a superior reloading Press cost more.

Another RCBS fan of the past but the Redding brand of equipment and dies has really put RCBS WAY under them as far as Quality AND Made in the USA!
Got my BB II and have never looked back, Sold my 1982 model Rock Chucker II.
The Redding Big Boss II is superior -Stronger frame, larger diameter ram, angle, easier to access case atop the ram, De-priming the spent primers fall through the ram and into a plastic tube which can be placed inside a waste can for a neat and clean operation.
The priming system is the best for press priming, I seldom use the hand primer any longer.

As a RCBS RC happy owner of 40 plus years it's hard to justify buying a BB2 despite the upgrades and features of the BB2.

I also debated the same delime, but in the end, after buying the BB II and using it, it's just is a better press in my opinion

I'll sign this. I got my RC in 1979 and have been using it ever since with no problems, loading seven different calibers using RCBS dies exclusively. A few years ago the spring on the primer arm finally gave way but RCBS sent a replacement free of charge.

Rugged, reliable, and with a lifetime warranty on all of it - what's not to like?

Hey, my Rock Chucker has been my main squeeze single stage press for 40 years. We are easy and comfortable. I just can't see jettisoning my main squeeze for a new girl. Especially a Big Boss.
