Thanks guys.. I'm shooting at 10 yds.. so its more for practice. I suck with a hand gun and need the practice

I shot “the same” for years... middle of the pack in local NRA shooting group event.

My buddy and I would come in 12-15th out of 30 based upon who showed up

One month he was second. I asked how...

He took a 2 day class and then a 4 day class.

Lots of coaching to shoot better


I then did the same... several 4 day classes over the next year.



It helped me a ton in getting good- or at least a lot better

A few years ago I was shooting with several guys who had bought LAX 9MM reloads. The the copper jacket or more likely plating from their rounds consistently came off and splattered the paper targets which looked like a shotgun had hit them in short order. I'm thinking the bullet coming apart wouldn't allow it to be very accurate at distance and likely isn't very good for the barrel either.

500 rds so far, had one squib! I was doing double tap practice the first shot didnt feel right and my brain fought my finger a little to not pull the trigger on the 2nd. turned out to be a Squib. only Primer in the cartrige. Had to buy a overpriced 20$ cleaning kit so i could knock out the round and keep shooting. decent ammo if you are just pinking. just be careful and shoot with your brain and not your body.

The prices were ok. BUT i found walmart will often federal or winchester on sale for 16 cents / round. cheaper than LAX especially after you factor in tax and shipping and possibly Dealer ammo receipt fees.

+1 on training. Best way to improve and get sound training so that you don’t repeat bad habits at the range.

You may want to check out Frontsight. Also note that Frontsight does not allow commercial reloaded ammo due to the number of accidents (guns coming apart in people’s hands) caused by remanufacuted ammo.

I've witnessed problems with their .223 reloads. They countersink the hell out of the primer pockets to decrimp the cases. The problem with that is that there's barely any engagement with the primer as a result and they can fall out while firing. The spent primers roll around in the AR fire control group and even one time I've seen it wedge underneath the trigger, blocking the trigger from being pulled and jamming the gun up completely that the trigger pins and the FCG had to be disassembled to clear that jam.

For the few cents a round you "save" by buying LAX reloads, you could just get commercial ammo that works flawlessly.
