    9mm and minor power factor

About to try shooting USPSA again after major reconstruction of wrist and looking for light loaded 9mm recipe. Wondering if its easier to use lighter/heavier grain bullet and fast/slow powder? Any action shooters with decent results with 700x, H110 or Power Pistol?

Heavier grain bullet, 147 gr. with minor power factor 125 = less recoil. With that 147 gr. moly coated bullet, 2.8 grains of tite-group will make a 128 power factor out of a 5 inch pistol barrel.
( Note: stock recoil spring might not function with this load ! )

All of this is based upon doctor's approval !

135gr coated bullets with 3.5gr VV N320 @ 1.15 with Fed or Win SPP softest shooting load I've tried to date...great accuracy in multiple guns better than 147gr...

      PS USPSA power factor 131ish.

For powders I always go for fastest burn rate. I've used xtreme 165gr rn with ramshot competition powder to make a ridiculously soft load that makes minor. Its so slow that you can visualize the bullet fly downrange. But its soft, so soft that I was surprised that my g34 with an 11# spring was cycling.

Other than that my go to load is a 147gr with 3gr of clays or competition. I just started working a case of 150gr rn from the blue bullet and I like it a lot.

I work up all my loads to 130-135pf.
Man, this place has gone bonkers.

          See competent Physical Therapist.

~Ninety-seven percent of score is directly related to you and not the gun or the ammo.

Unless you shoot IDPA, I-Don't-Practice-Anymore, were scoring officials harbor some form of ulterior motive(s).

I run 135gr DG Hi-tech coated bullet with 3.3gr of Tightgroup at 1.12 COL. Runs at 132 PF. This is out of my SP-01. Shoots well. Accurate enough for they type of shooting we do at 25 yards.

One thing to note. Make sure you sight in you pistol shooting these heavier bullets at lower PF. They come out of the barrel much slower so your POA may be high. My was about 6" high at 25 yards.

I use 3.3 grains of Titegroup with 147 grain bullets at 1.120" to make 130-135 power factor. It's a great load.
