38 super powder question

[captn-tin]

In my 1996 copyright Modern Reloading By Richard Lee under 38 super loads he lists Universal Clays as a powder for a few of the bullet weights listed . I have some h Universal powder ,not universal clays. Would this be the same powder ya think? Thanks

Not the same powder, Universal and Universal Clays have different burn rates.

DO not interchange the two

^^^ Are you sure about that? When I go to hodgdon's website:

https://www.hodgdon.com/products/smokeless-powder/

I can find Clays and Universal powder, but no "Universal Clays"...

There was a problem with people confusing the two so they changed the name
to Clays.
