In my experience, yes. Do they pass the case guard test? You may want to crank you crimp die down a bit too, those look a bit loose .

Yes, they fit the bullet checker/barrel. I actually haven't crimped these yet and glad you mentioned that. Previously that was a different question, I didn't crimp because the mouth measured correctly (.378 I believe), should I? and wouldn't that change the barrel fit?

I looked up a few threads at Brian Enos’ site, most of the guys were using .376-.377” crimp. I have been adjusting my crimp die so as to leave a very slight mark on the bullet. I have been using coated bullets lately, I pull them and check before loading a bunch. Black Bullets International, Blue Bullets and Extreme work well for cheap, with coated bullets having the edge, Precision Delta’s are great for more money...

I do find slight deformation sometimes with 9mm, with the bullet showing through a bit through the case. I think it is worse when cases are thin.

If it passes the case gauge, I will shoot it.

Who is the case manufacturer on the headstamp of the 147?

Just curious as some cases have a step on the inside, I wonder if that is one of those and if you seated deep enough to get around it.

I've seen that on occasion before with a particular bullet I used at one time and it never seemed to upset the apple cart nor could I figure out the cause in my situation.

I came across a bunch of pulled 147 HST bullets and noticed a similar bulge when I loaded them. Sometimes is was very slight; sometimes very visible. The small bulges would pass the hundo and barrel plunk/spin test. It drove me nuts. Then I read something that kind of made sense:

I bet that wouldn't happen if you were able to use the same brass that came from the factory
Basically, the thickness of the casewall varies from headstamp to headstamp. There was a neat cut-away of 9mm case that illustrated the increasing thickness as you approach the base. I'll see if I can dig it up.
