They have a lot of peculiar rules about what they will and will not ship
to Ca. Anything AR15 or AK related seems to be off limits to us.
I stopped ordering from them.

It all depends on your billing and shipping zip code. They won't shop to certain cities and if you try and ship to a different place they will still audit your billing zip. If it's in what they deem a restricted area = no ship. happened to me. A buddy of mine had no problems ordering the same thing as I wanted from them and he lives 20 miles away.

I have to wonder what attorney drafted their shipping policy. I noticed that they will not ship any type of knife to Marin, Napa, Ventura or Yolo counties in California. Do they assume someone will try to kill a condor with their knives? Idiots! I just throw away their catalogs now and don't even bother to look at them.

I just sent this email to their customer service:

I would like you to remove me from your database for all catalogs, emails and promotional materials. Your management/legal staff continues to have absolutely no clue what is and is not legal in California. The fact that you will not ship something as simple as a knife to Marin, Napa, Ventura or Yolo counties in California is truly incomprehensible when there are absolutely no regulations to prohibit this. This goes for ammunition sales as well. Do you have a chimpanzee on staff that randomly throws excrement onto a wall to establish your shipping restrictions? You have lost me as a customer for life.

+1 Everyone in CA should stop buying from them - everything, not just the stuff they won't ship here - and tell them why, then request to be removed from their mailing list. If enough people did that, they would more than likely reconsider their policies and make them more in line with the laws.

I won't buy from sellers that discriminate against me even further than my own idiotic state legislators.
