    My poor mailman....

I just ordered 10,000 bullets of various sizes (to get a discount for ordering 10,000 bullets). My poor, poor mailman. OR poor me, as he's been known to just leave the boxes unceremoniously just inside the front gate, near the road.

I'm not too worried about package theives "running" off with 70 lb boxes, though I hope they don't take a knife to open op a box and see what's inside and spill 3000 bullets down the road.

I suspect he means bullets when he writes bullets. Not cartridges.

Don't be too hopeful. Our UPS guy dropped off 3 boxes full of 308 ammo (about 50lbs each box) on our walkway near the crosswalk (nowhere near our front door) and some lucky arsehole came by about 5mins after, loaded up all 3 boxes into his truck and drove away.

I pay for a adult signature required for such deliveries. Before the law changed, I would have ammo sent to my office. Now it has to be sent to my place of residence and I am not always home.

Good luck, hope it's well packed or it will be poor, poor you. Postal employees don't like anything heavy. They'll do everything possible to bust your 70 pound box open.

My local post office refuse to deliver 1000 rounds of 40 sw grain TMJ bullets.

Sent me a note saying your package is ready for pickup.

When I went to the post office to pickup, the counter clerk (chick) refused to bring it to the counter and called on the PA for male assistance.

The biggest order of bullets I ever got shipped to me was (x500) 647gr bullets and I thought that was a lot. 10,000 though, Holy smokes. Nearly 200lbs of 9mm

I think my largest order of 9mm was like 2000 124gr... nope I think it was maybe an order of around 2500 148-158gr .38 SPL/.357 Mag. <56 LBS, which was still quite heavy for the order's size... in a very small package.

I ordered 6k one time. Postman left a notice in mailbox saying delivery was attempted but nobody was home, someone was, and that I needed to go to post office to pick up. Sent my sons the next day to pick them up for me. Says the lady at the counter was asking what the hell was in the boxes......when she loaded up a small cart with all the bullets, the wheels on the cart folded over.....lol.

I usually buy from SNS casting and they use the USPS boxes, but wrapped entirely with packing tape. It's like they laminated it with tape. THen inside is the actual box with the bullets, which is padded out to the USPS box with foam stuff.

If they spill it, they really have to try and spill it! (Yeah, I know they will)
