Cabelas and backorder

Cabelas list's most of there 9mm out of stock(like everywhere else) but they say it should take like 1-3 weeks to get in stock. Does anybody have any experience with them and is there backorder status pretty accurate? I don't mind waiting a few weeks, but I'd hate to place an order and months later still not have anything.

What was it if you dont mind me asking?
I Just called them and asked about 2 different 9mm (federal and PMC).. they both list a 1 to 2 week backorder, but the operator said the PMC should be in stock early may and the federal should be in stock end of this month, so they 1 to 2 week estimate isn't far off. Now, i hope he was right. He also said they bill you when it's shipped, so that's good news.

They will revise the back order date when it gets close (within a week). You will get an email if you have placed an order. I've been waiting a while on some ammo too.

Did you guys actually call and ask about status, or jsut what it lists online? I hope the cabelas guy knows what he's talking about. I can wait until May no problemo

I ordered some Burger bullets weeks ago. I was told one week wait, I have heard nothing.

On my order, they actually pulled the product from the website because they were pushing the orders out every week and had such a large back log.

If they don't charge till it ships, then I really don't care how long it takes.. better sooner than later, but still it doesn't matter.

I've ordered primers, powder, dies, etc. all of which were on backorder when I placed the order. Some arrived sooner, some a little later. Cabela's is easy to work with - I recommend them highly.

Cabela's gets 5 stars easily in my book. I ordered some 4000 rounds of .40 that was back ordered because of a sale. I was half expecting the ordered to be canceled because of the price but they eventually fulfilled it. Took about a month to get it and I'm kicking myself for not ordering more.

About 80% of the stuff i order from Cabelas that gets placed on backorder is fulfilled by the original date. Unfortunately, most of the other 20% is powder and primers....

Cabela's isn't always accurate on wait times but they're great to deal with!

I can verify that is true - plus the shipping cost you paid when placing the order is what you will pay for shipping - no matter how many 'piece-part' shipments they make to complete your order - which I think is pretty nice.

4 months for 500 rounds of 9mm. I had almost forgot I ordered it when it showed up. Cool ammo box though. I guess that kind of made up for the wait.
