9mm reloads not fitting in case guage

I am using a Dillon 650 to reload 9mm. I have been getting more than usual oversized rounds that do not fit into the case gauge . What am I doing wrong??? What causes this??

I just reloaded 400 rounds and had 9 of them like this

have you changed your die settings? looks like NOT sizing down far enough?

wrong die or over sized bullets?

    some thing wrong for sure

Brass casings fired in Glocks? Try an EGW undersize die.

Do a visual comparison with a factory round.

Improperly sized. Severe swelling at web area of case after sizing. Possibly a die adjustment issue. If that is disproven. Those cases that don't size correctly may be saved with a "push through" die. Which sizes all the way to the base. But for 9 out of 400 cases. Not worth the time or expense. For that few cases which are only worth 5 cents each, [45 cents].

I would break them down, recycle bullet, powder, primer. And crap can the cases.

This. I always use an EGW for 9mm.

My mother always told me to be careful what you ask for.

Just one more piece of parental advice I stupidly ignored.

Die doesn’t look like it is bottoming out - try readjusting the die. If that doesn’t work I would get a different sizing die. What brand are the dies?

what is your COL on that round? it looks like its a little long.

Check your powder charge station because while the rest of the dies may be set up correctly when the case mouth settles on the powder charge the stroke my not be able to finish the rest of the cases to the bottom of the stroke. This will also affect your bullet seating which makes it look high like your finished round.

also when you load more on the 650 you'll really feel that bottom of the stroke where the primer gets seated and you know you've completed the cycle.

Can see the case is not uniform. Cant you see the bulge in the case? And those look a little long. Plunk test your round in the barrels you wish to fire these from for a true test.

Take a look at how deep the carbide ring is pressed into the die body. Dillon has a problem with some being pressed in too deep and well beyond flush with the bottom edge of the die (see pic). If you have the die adjusted properly then this is likely where your problem is.

That sounds like horrible and dangerous advice. Ask Glock owners who had their guns blow up in their hands shooting reloads.
