Dillon Super 1050 question.

I am loading the .308 brass now. A problem I am having is the powder occasionally trickles on to my work bench. I don’t ever really have the issues with my other calibers. This is the first time I have loaded

powder bridging? go slower on the press allowing time for ALL the powder to drop and or go to a more "ball" powder.

I thought it might be filling slowly as well, so I went slowly. I am using Varget, will it is a stick, but the weight is being very consistent. It is also the only powder I have for this batch. I have 800 more to load.

Varget is slow and bridges maybe each drop tap the powder messure to make sure it all drops.

Yep what everyone has said...I had to really slow down on 308...I would move too fast and powder would still be dropping when I was moving to the next station. When I changed from stick to ball powder the problem mostly went away....

I had the same issue with .308 and varget. It improved a bit after I polished the powder funnel but I eventually went to H335 and works much better.

Not discounting the slow trickling/bridging of stick powders here, but what is the chance that the filled cases are wiggling around and spill powder as they advance?

When I load .223 on my 1050 I have to do a "one thousand one" count before lifting the handle or I get the same results. To prevent the powder spillage after the drop I have a small zip tie around the plate the brass pins sit in right after the drop. Keeps the case from moving. I have more spillage problems with pistol rounds than handgun rounds though.

That happens with a loose shellplate and no grease on the shellplate.
Same thing on the 650 and 550.

Properly greasing the shellplate stops the shellplate from jumping as the detent ball grabs it at the end of its indexing.
Keeping the shellplate adjusted down as tight as possible without causing it to be tight gives less ability of the cases to bounce around in the shellplate.
