    Bay area reloading stores?

I was going to go up to Chico this weekend to visit my grandparents. My grandpa was going to teach me to reload. Of course the store he frequents is all out of reloading stuff, powder, bullets, primers, etc.

He has enough to reload some but nowhere near what we had planned on.

The critical component is bullets; .45 for .45ACP reloads to be exact.

I know of several gun stores in the bay area, but I know of none that also stock reloading supplies.

Before I go gallivanting across the county seeing what store has what I thought I would ask here which stores, if any, actually stock reloading supplies.

I'm not expecting anything to be in stock, but I'd like to check and see anyways.

This is kind of a last minute rush because I'm heading up this weekend. If there was plenty of time I would just buy online.

In the end we may just do the small amount possible, get some stuff online, and do more later.

They look like they're on the way to Chico, I'll give them a try if I go that route.

Yep - they had a new shipment of powder in late last week. Still had some primers in last time I checked. Here are some excerpts from their mailer:

        H322

I have been told that we have primers in transit... these will include large pistol, small rifle, and large rifle. As I hope you know, we still have a large quantity of Federal small pistol primers in stock.

The pistol ammo shortage of late has been caused, in part, by mfrs filling Mil & LE orders. The situation is looking better now, and we should start seeing more ammo in about 1 month. For now, we have some S&B 9mm, AE .40, and Spear .45 target ammo in stock. For the .223 fan, we have a good supply of Hornady ammo ranging from steel cased training ammo to match grade ammo. I can't guarantee supply, so get it while we have it!

As always, thank you for your business and your trust.

Call up Irvington Arms in Fremont.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

+2 IA might still have Bear Creek .45 ACP 200 and 230grs. Call them and ask if they still have any in stock.

Imbert and Smithers in San Carlos - they have some components but I recommend calling. The reloading dude there wiped out on his motorcycle again but I hear he's OK and will be in tomorrow (Friday).
