RCBS die Question

Is RCBS FL dies ok for 223 in a AR/AK. Or should I use Small base sizing dies instead?

I tested both in my AR and had no problems with either. I now just use the full length dies as I hear the small base dies works the brass harder.

I started out using RCBS small base because many said that for an semi auto you have to. Then I got some Forster Competition FL dies and haven't touched the small base since.
If you happen to get brass fired from machine guns then you might need small base dies.

Most full length sizing dies made in the last 15-20 years are already small base dies.
You only need to be concerned with this if you have some REALLY old dies that are not small base dies.
