    Dillon 650 / 45LC reloading

Good evening all----I have a Dillon 650 that I load 9, 10 and 45 ACP. I bought this used with a "Universal" case feeder as opposed to a Dillon case feeder. I have loaded over 50K rounds and been quite satisfied until I tried to load 45LC. Cases are to big for this feeder. The question is---will the Dillon case feeder handle 45LC?? I'd like to get the Dillon to handle all my hand gun loads. Just need to know before I Order it. Thanks in advance!

The Dillon feeder will handle it just fine. You just have to order the right case feeder plate. Large pistol will probably be the one you need.

Not sure about the universal case feeder, but the Dillon will.

For use with the RL550 Case Feeder, sold separately. These kits are necessary to change the RL550 Casefeeder from one caliber to another. It may also be necessary to purchase a different casefeed plate.

It may require you to install a washer under the plate on the Dillon. It should be included but if not Dillon would probably provide you with one. You just remove the two screws on the clutch in the center of the plate and put the washer in place. This is required on the longer cases. I have one of those feeders on another 650 and it is crap compared to the Dillon. You'll be happy making the switch.
