I have been using an older Lee priming tool, the one with the round primer tray.
Having broken the link between the lever and the primer ram, and found that this item cannot be replaced, I decided a new tool was the only answer.
What is with the new priming tool? The triangle primer tray seems posessed by left leaning demons, waiting to scatter primers all over the room. Replacements come two to a package, indicating to me that Lee expects us to break them on a regular basis. The locking lever on the primer tray is hard to operate.
And, primers do not seem to want to feed to the top of the primer shaft, no matter what angle I hold the tool or jiggle it. and when I get the primer to feed is doesn't seem to be properly aligned with the primer pocket.
AM I missing something.
Their 9mm shellholder No 19 seems to hold the shells loosely, perhaps because it is the recomended shellholder for 6 or 7 different calibers.
I had great luck with older tool, but as of now I am thinking this unit is a POS.
Any help would be appreciated.
