    Greek HXP brass quality?

Hi, folks. I seem to recall reading that the Greek .30-06 ammo from the CMP has poor cases for reloading compared to the Lake City, but I'm not sure where. If you've tried it, how did the Greek reload? How was the case life?

What do you need guns for if you are going to send your children, seven hours a day, 180 days a year to government schools? What do you need the guns for at that point?-- R. C. Sproul, Jr. (unconfirmed)

What I recall reading was that the brass was harder, springier, and less consistently sized out of the can.

I found sizing to not be a big deal, and decrimping easier than lc with a case chamfering tool. Haven't shot it yet.

Weight has been pretty close to LC, a grain or so off, but I didn't check many.

No .44 mag, and I'm not giving away any of the brass from my spam can!

I may have to get one of the silly-looking brass catchers, because I think I'd rather look silly than lose brass.

been reloading HXP for some time. Just finished trimming a batch yesterday. No significant differences. Their three-pringed crimp is a cosmetic eyesore even after a pass thru a Dillon Swage, but no impact on function.

HXP is very common to find at most outdoor ranges and BLM land, since they have been dumping so much of it on the market, keep your eyes open and you can get an excellent deal on it

              Brass trading is good

I've heard from one Service Rifle match shooter that he is on his 10th reloading of the Greek stuff.....and not out of a bolt gun, out of his Garand!
