    Reloading restrictions

I used to reload years ago but have been away from it for some time now. I'm thinking about getting a new set up but am not sure if there are any restrictions since the new ammo laws hit.

What is the process to get primers, projectiles, and powder now? Have things changed?

    No restrictions on reloading yet.

Powder and primers can be bought online, but you'll pay the Hazmat fee. Best to wait for a Black Friday or other huge year end sale where they either pay free shipping or waive the Hazmat fee. I found one a few years ago and got 10 lbs of power. Same with primers. I just keep an eye out for the deals and pounce when I can. I'm set for both primers and powders at the moment. Bullets are also available online w/o the fee.

If you have a good well stocked shop nearby, they can be a good resource.

In my case , I generally buy at LGS .
Try to find one that not only can , but willing to answer questions .
Unless you are buying a bunch , it is quicker and easier to buy local .

Yet - all bets are off after Newscum takes the reins in January...

I buy almost everything from a small local shop, Phillips Wholesale in Covina. His prices are very hard to beat and when things were tight he didn't jack up his prices or play games, first come first served.

Find your local sellers and give them a shot.
