    Dented Rounds???

In testing an AR 15, I ran ten rounds through with the charging handle, trying to find a reason it malfunctioned. I ran then through three times. Once, OK, second and third were major malfunctions and some of the rounds are dented on the sides.

The problem is fixed but what should I do with the damaged rounds? There is probably a rule as to what to do with damaged rounds and it is probably to throw them away. If so, where?

If there are any hard creases then don't, but otherwise as another user told me, 50ish thousand PSI tends to iron out case dimples.

Primary problem with the dented cases is that they often won't chamber. And can be quite a struggle to remove once you find that out.

Pull the bullets if you reload .
If you don't reload , take to range and leave there next
time you go . Someone will take them

Yeah, this is the obvious truth.

Nothing like using live rounds for a function check...

No problem if you're at a range.

Living room? Yeah, that's a disaster waiting to happen.

Granted, I jumped to conclusions and assumed it was in the home since most of us would toss the rounds in the "dud" can.
