i wanted to double check. i reload and they are darn cheap. i want to do some shooting up in the national forest and wanted to refresh my memory. this part i got a little fuzzy. are full metal jackets illegal to shot here in california?

Recreational shooting is not effected in the condor zone.
Only HUNTING is effected.

So, if you are shooting for fun, lead bullets are fine.
If you are hunting, lead bullets are not allowed.

Not all hunting, actually. Small and upland game can still be legally taken with lead bullets/ shot. The ban only applies to big-game and non-game hunting.
