Consistancy in primers/packing?

Just curious. Got a delivery. Wagging my tail, I opened the first box of 1000 Remington #9.5 Large Rifle primers to inspect them and inside one of the smaller boxes of 100, there was a primer missing. Hmmm.... Of course I HAD to check the rest, which were fine.
I realize this is a mechanized process, and that they make a bazillion of these, and mistakes happen. But what percentage of primers are typically a write off or DOA? In general, not just missing.
1 out of 1000+ isn't bad. There may be more found as I load, but just curious what you folks have found.

I've got on the order of 50k rds of handloads with one failure to ignite.

Yeah, that's what I figured. There don't seem to be too many bad primers unless you're dealing with old ammo...

I have received a primer that was missing the anvil.
I happened to catch it before using it.
I doubt it would have ignited if I had loaded it.
