    How old is this ammo?

I was at a friends last night when his roommate told me he had found some ammunition while cleaning out his dead uncles house. He doesn't have guns so he offered it to me since he had no idea what else to with it and just wanted it gone.

Some of the .357 looks a bit oxidized on the tip but the rest looks ok. Think it'll go bang?

Old is a relative term. I would guess that it is all pretty new stuff and it will all go bang. I consider new ammo to be < 10 years old. But, I have no problem shooting 90 year old ammo either except that 90 year old stuff usually has too much collector's value.

It'll all go bang, the factory stuff should be all fine, I've shot .45 from WWII. The stuff in the yellow box looks like reloads so you might not want to shoot it; either separate the powder and bullet for future reloads or fire it out of a .357 (assuming it's a hot loaded .38). Any guns in his uncle's house to go with these rounds?

He said they didn't find any and that this ammo was buried deep in a box full of junk. I told him to let me know if they do find something. Total I got about double what is pictured. I also got a 50 rounds of Remington Yellow Jacket .22 and a new package of patches. Free ammo is good ammo in my book!

Young enough to shoot it... and then reload it!

If you do not want to shoot the Winchester box in the lower left i would do it for you.
