    5.56 load data

I know 223 and 5.56 are very close... does anyone have load data for 5.56 shells.. I think I would like to continue to reload and keep 5.56 rather than 223. Also if I buy winchester and federal brass that is 5.56 can I just reload the cases or does anything special need to be done. primer pockets reamed/ cases excessivly trimmed.. etc etc?

    thanks for the help?

5.56 and 223 cases are identical. The only difference is that military ammo is loaded hotter and they use the metric system to identify their ammo. Many people like military brass because the cases are annealed and the primer pockets and flash holes are drilled.
The only time you need to remove a crimp from the primer pocket is if you shoot and reload military surplus ammo. There is a sticky on reloading 223 here already. 5.56 and 223 data are the same.
