    Lee Breech Lock Progressive Loader

Anyone else have experience with this loader. I bought it to test and found the plastic case loader fails repeatedly and the bullet loader with the plastic arms won't carry my coated 9mm to the press.

Not my first press or my first Lee press. But a huge disappointment.

lee has almost always been a disappointment to me. I do own a couple of their products but never a press. Buy quality and only need to buy once and not have to fix it all the time

My 2 Cents for what it is worth
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

no experience with this specific press, but nothing but good things to say about lee products. All of them have worked as advertised. do you have it set up properly?

My RCBS rock chucker on the other hand, has given me a lot of annoying issues.

If you re-propose the machine to a single stage press you might get some work done.

That was my idea until I saw on a YT video how much that upper shell plate moves up & down. No thanks. Good Luck to you.

Around the 9 minute mark, when the ram is putting is at full stroke and putting pressure on the dies, I don't like to see
        that much movement.

The press in that video is NOT a breech lock progressive, it's a classic turret press.

I have one and am very pleased with it. Yes the turret (not the shellplate) floats a bit, but it floats consistently each time and reloading is about repeatability.

Makes good ammunition for most purposes except the most demanding precision work.

            I don't have that model .
            I do have a " C " frame " O frame " , 2 hand presses and a load master .
I reload 15 calibers and have the lee hand loader for all of them [ except
the 25 ACP- was borrowed and then stolen ] Very happy with them alll
            except the primer loading
If you only do one or 2 calibers - maybe another brand would work
            better for you .
One thing about Lee 99% of their stuff is in stock - other companies either
special order , back ordered or they don't make it . Try ordering a 25 ACP
plate for your press as an example .
I have 6 nephews and 2 nieces that reload here and they have friends that
reload and none have said - " lets get a **** press because -
Maybe because of the cost - even adding another loadmaster will run about
            400 with all I have .
I was going to buy another press , but they had ---- gun for a little more .
Common when recycle money gets raided [ brass , coke bottles , cans ]
Since everyone tries the new gun , most of time it's " I was going to buy a
*** when I had a little more " is about only complaint .

              My mistake.
I thought the two were the same with just a few upgrades.
The Press in question just looks too dern complicated.
But I do plan on buying the Classic Turret Press, later, just to find out
for myself just how much this 'floating' affects cartridge performance.

Neither of those problems are part of the new press. The case feeder and the bullet feeder are sold separately and also fit other Lee press models. One thing I do know about feeding 9mm bullets is that Lee offers the fingers for a couple different bullet lengths. Getting the best fit for my bullet (longer) made a lot of difference on the Pro1000 application.

I have the new Lee Auto Breech lock Pro and have no issues with the added case feeder. Just mess with it until you have it adjusted right. And don't forget to read the instructions.

Yup, what the OP is criticizing about the press really isn't a press issue.

The case feeder works fine on other presses, it just needs to be adjusted correctly.

Really doesn't give us enough information to allow us to help with your issues.

the bullet loader with the plastic arms
This has been a long known problem with the bullet feeder...nothing new.

You can either fiddle with it to see iof you can get it to work correctly and use another bullet feeder

If I adjust it so it takes up the "slack" in the turret, as I was taught to do, it works quite well. I loaded 200 rounds of 9mm on mine in a couple hours. I use the Lee Perfect Powder measure and spot check as I'm loading with a scale. I have experienced the powder leak as others have mentioned, but tightening up on the o-rings helped a lot. Loads accurate and fast, once it's set up. Taking the time to check each stage before I start loading is the key for me.
