    Hornady reloading data

I was comparing recipes in the Alliant, Nosler, and Hornady load data. I am loading 154 gr Hornady for Remington 280 with Reloder 22. The Hornady data is the only one that lists 154, but they also have the 150 gr ELD-X under the same data. However I noticed they list the minimum charge at 48 with the maximum at 58.4. Everywhere else it seems they suggest starting and around 50 and going up to 54 or 56.
Should I disregard the charges under 50 grains. If I use other data, would it be better to use 150 gr or 160 gr data?

Hornady data is based on Hornady cases. Other cases may have more or less internal volume which affects pressure. Other factors that affect pressure are the primer, the amount of jump to the lands, the seating depth, bore condition, powder lot, ambient temperature, etc.

Use data developed with your brass or brass with the same internal capacity.

In addition, reloading tables differ in what the particular manufacturer sees as "safe" (in the litigious society meaning - it's safe for them.)

One manufacturer may be OK with publishing data that hits 95% of SAAMI max pressure in a given load, while another may cap it at 85%.
