45 colt oal
Using a revolver like the SAA the OAL can be shorter , but not longer. I have loaded 45 colt many years with both black and smokeless powder and am now using 45 schofield rounds in all my 45 colt guns, they are the same just shorter by about 1/4 inch. Use the crimp groove as long as it is not too long OAL, you want to crimp on the groove so the bullet is secure and tight.---------------------------
