    9mm Federal 147gr HST vs 124 gr+P hst

Hi currently am I running 147gr hst out of both my Glock 19 and 17, I was recommend to run 124gr +p hst for duty due to the added velocity compared to the 147 gr. Currently the 147 gr is my for my nightstand and duty carry. Would I benefit from switching over the the 124gr +p for both duty and nightstand or run one gr for one purpose and another for a different one.

    Thanks in advance.

no need to switch. As it is the 147gr HST gets plenty of penetration

OP - the Ammo Quest testing videos on YouTube answer your questions. As BajaJames states though, 147gr standard pressure performs just as good as +P.

I see, would the added velocity make a difference and persuade a switch
