When do the "Seasonal Runs" begin?

There are a lot of different calibers that I've been looking to buy and all of them say "Unavailable, Seasonal Run' on Midway and other websites.

Does anyone know when these seasonal runs begin?

    After any Election.

Sadly Election time is a season now, and its open all year.

If I would have known that, I would have loaded up on .30-40 Krag...

Does that mean I have to wait until November of this year?

"seasonal run" is the blanket entry for any product that isn't always available. In the case of brass there is no guarantee that a run will be made in any given year. Your best bet is to call up the manufacturer and ask when their next run is
According to this CDC document the firearms related death rate has been surpassed by the poisoning death rate.

The ammunition manufacturers make batches of brass and then change the dies out and make other cartridges depending upon their forecast of anticipated need. This will vary between manufacturers so there is no set schedule. Taking down the whole production line and retooling is a pain and they lose money at every conversion so they try to do this only one time per year per cartridge.

Companies often make seasonal runs of 'obsolete' and less popular calibers.

You're talking about once-fired brass, right? I have no idea what the seasons are for this. If you go to gunsonthenet.com, many people sell once-fired cases. I have bought it from both Midway, and from private party. No difference, it all looks like junk till you clean it up.

Where did it say anything about once fired brass?

No. I was talking about the Winchester 180gr ammo...

I'd settle for the Remington but I seem to shoot better with the Winchester...
