reloads for my AR

I just got done reloading for the first time. I did 150 of them but I heard that the data as far as how much powder to use is different when loading for a gas reloader. Is this true? If so how do I get the right starting point for it? I'm using hornady reloading book and they don't differentiat bolt versus semi for smaller .223 caliber

Pick yourself up a (one book one caliber) reloading book. It has unabridged information from different manufactures and does have different loads for the AR in a 16" barrel. As far as my experience goes, I reload the same for my bolt action and AR. If your using information specifically for a bolt action, just start at the minimum load and work your way up slowly until you get the best accuracy. Hope that helps, good luck!

well I like the one books, if your new to reloading you MUST read better books than that, they are more for people that have been reloading for a time.

pickup at lest 3 books one from Speer one from Lee and get the ABC's of realoading.

your absolutly right!! I forgot to mention that. I had someone show me how to reload when I first started. +1 for the speer manual.
