I'm looking to get a new Progressive Press. I use a Lee Turret Press for my 9mm at this time. Starting to load 500-600 per week so time to move up. Input on what you think of the Lee Pro 1000. I have been looking at Hornaday Lock n Load AP and the Dillion XL650. I have watch videos on utube and of course theres pros and cons on all presses. Any feed back would be great.

Just ran off 1000 rounds of 9mm on my Lee 1000 with no issues. I'm a big fan - great bang for the buck. Take the time to set it up right, do periodic cleaning/maintenance, and it will perform very well.
I have two of them, one set up as a dedicated .45acp press and the other for all other calibers. I like them a lot as they are inexpensive, work very well, and produce a large pile of ammo in a very short time. I can easily load 400- 500 rounds in an hour.Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

I had one. Properly adjusted and cleaned, it worked fine but I disliked the primer trays and chute system. I sold it and bought a Hornady LNL, which is a bit smoother and sturdier.Comment

I have the new Pro4000 Breech Lock Pro and think you might want to consider that to get 4 stations. It addresses the priming issues by taking the primer feed out from under the powder drop, now relying on the same priming design as used on the turret. It works best, I think, with the case feeder added, so the right hand can stay on the handle, while the operator tends to priming and bullet placement with the left, maintaining a good cadence.I'm looking to get a new Progressive Press. I do have a Pro1000 and it is dedicated to 9mm. The output rate would have been better if I had known or realized that there were bullet feeder fingers for different length bullets. I had the usual issues with primers but did not want to take an operation off the press. I could produce a surprising amount of ammo in short order even with some hiccups.Last edited by at_liberty; 05-14-2018, 12:54 PM.Comment

The priming system is a PITA.
It's at the bottom of my list. It will make good ammo, but it's frustrating.Originally Posted by OCEquestrian View Post

I'd also recommend taking a hard look at this...it's official name is the Auto Breech Lock Pro.
I've been looking at one pretty hard to supplement my LNL AP...rather than add another AP...and it's getting good reviews...because the journey is the worthier part...The Shepherd's TaleComment

I have 3 for 9mm 45 and 357 sig and the priming portion is a pain but it is a great press for the cash. My 9 has loaded 1000s of rounds i rarely have an issue with it. The 45 gives me more problems for some reason.I support peace through superior firepower.

I only use mine for depriming, even then it’s got hiccups.
It’s a great machine, if you get to know it.Comment
