    Ohaus 10-10

Just got back from a little fishin trip to Lake Davis. No luck. Stopped at a yard sale in Portola and.....luck hit me. Vintage Ohaus 10-10 in box with with instructions, warranty card. Box and papers - rough shape. Scale is clean and right on. Handle of copper colored powder pan busted off, but pretty sure I can get one from RCBS. $5.00. Lucky me . HA

    Those were good scales.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

          Nice hook up....
I visit gun shops around town fairly regularly and one in particular had a couple of old wooden boxes near the exit door that were 'junky stuff'. Noted that there was a 10-10 in it's box with a $100 price tag. With no way of knowing if it were accurate, I let it slide. Saw that scale most every other week when I visited that store. After about 6 months of looking at the stuff in those boxes and recognizing that not much of it sold, I pulled the scale from the box and took it to the register and asked "How much?" $10 was the reply. Cheap enough to take a chance. I called the locate scale certification store/station and took it down there a few days later to have it checked. It was spot on. Patience, just like in fishing, pays dividends at times.

The 10-10 was the best of the RCBS scales. A shame it is no longer made. I rely on mine.

I have an old 10-10. And no, you can't get a new pan that's the same as the old one.
I tried. They look the same in a picture, but are not the same size or weight.
My handle is also broken off but I still have it and just put it under the pan when measuring.
