The Forster Co-Ax Press seems to be the #1 Go-To Press after you have been successfully reloading on a perfectly good reloading press for years.

I prefer the double-ended crescent wrenches. They do SAE on one end and metric on the other.

tonyjr, loaded pistol and rifle ammunition is not generally hazmat unless you're ordering really huge quantities. It has other shipping restrictions (no air freight, AFAIK) but is not hazmat.

Mid south and midway both want hazmat for 20 - 50 AE and 20
41 AE's [ 2 BOXES] . With hazmat , it was cheaper for them to
          buy at LGS .
One of my nephews has friends in Auburn and wanted to try
them out [ there are bears there ]
Anyway , I loan them out with understanding you buy the cartridges
and I get the M T' cases and what you don't shoot . They told my
nephew that they already bought the ammo [ they had to go to Sac. ]
          just bring guns .
You should have said something - we reload a whole bunch cheaper .

Maybe a case prep machine to debur inside and outside of case after trimming. There are more tool heads that can fit also, like primer pocket cleaner, primer pocket uniformer, reamers and such. Maybe a Lyman neck expander die (M-die) for NON boat tail bullets. I had some Remington bullets that had really flat base. I needed neck expander die to get them to go in case.

There are 7 of us that reload here .
I always size the cases - never know what bullet others are using / bringing.
Once we were giver a box or 500 pills , don't know how many were missing ,
but after they were gone - we found out the hard way we did not size the
              cases .
Sizing is not a big deal on load master . Pistol are sized after cleaning on press . Bottle necks are sized on press when decapping .

                -------------------------

you can go whole hog or do near nothing, frankly. You can load 223 with nothing more than 2 dies and a shell plate.

Would it be better with a case trimmer, swager, chargemaster and funnel die or a powder drop, case feed setup, bulletfeed setup? sure. but not essential.

                -----------

I load 243 on a progressive press. lots of manual operation before I got the charge die, built the case feeder, etc. Still havent done anything for a bullet feeder.

.223 bullets go into assault clips and get shot out of the nozzle of a gun.

There may be 223's that take clips , all I have seen take magazines .
                    Or maybe bolt action .
                    An M-1 takes a clip , A M-14 takes a magazine . Alot of people have had an M-1 thumb , never heard of a 223 thumb - but maybe .

^^^ They have stripper clips for loading the M16/M4 without removing the mag.
The also had stripper clips for loading SKS, AK's(I think), Russian bolt action rifles,1917, 1903, 1903A3, Brit Enfields, all sorts of Mausers and such.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

                        Thanks , to be honest , the ones here [ 308 / 763 ] have no way to use a clip .
I have not checked the 223 [ it is not here- gone for a week ] when it comes back
to sleep in safe - I will check it .
When I was in 'Nam , I had a choice between the M-16 and the M-14 , I chose the
                        M-14 . It used magazines .
If you had been there and seen tracers fling all over the place , you might have
chosen something that went straight . I was in Navy [ PBRs ] and I did not have to
carry my rifle and ammo any farther than the PBR or mike boat .
We are going to range Saturday and I will look at a few . I will be shooting my 270 - 700 remmy
I think my carbine can use a clip - never had one [ clip ] , just loaded by hand .
I probably should check on it .
I guess I will go to ebay and put in 223 clips and see what comes up .

HI, i agree w/Hambam; so much prep work, and then a Dillon progressive.
however i am using a 550RL rather than a 650RL. I am not sure the extra indexing is a plus.
