    Is it still legal to have or sell standard US GI 50 BMG Ball ammo ????

    Yes. You can buy, sell, trade, give, lend, find, loose, or discharge any 50BMG ball, AP, INERT APIs (yes, they made them and I have some), inert spotter tracer, LRTs or any commercially produced bullets (AMAX, AAA, Barnes, Lehigh, McMurdos, etc). But, I think the city or county of LA might have passed some stupid local law against the sale of any 50 cal ammo.

    The only ammo that you can not have in CA is any that burns or goes bang on impact. Tracers, APIs, etc.
