Need Reload Data For my M25 White feather 308

Just received my springfield M25 308 White feather. Anyone have any reload data for shooting 1000 yards. What recipes are working or any other info for this gun would help.

Don't load full power .308 loads for your rifle. You have to keep your pressures down to a safe level, less than 50,000 psi.

I use 41.5 gr of 4895 under a 168 SMK in my Supermatch. When I do my part I can shoot 3 rounds into less than 3/4 of an inch with iron sites at 100 yards. Haven't shot groups further than that yet.
Some people will do skanky things for $25, and not all those people are crack whores.

This sounds about right. I use IMR 4064 instead of 4895. Using Federal match primers gave me good results. 41.5 gr is mild load and won't beat up the rifle.

IMR4895 is very popular with high power shooters particularly in the M14. I use it for all my 308 loads. I use to use 168 SMK but have gone to Berger 155 VLD; the difference in trajectory and energy retention is amazing with these low drag bullets.

I have never used Berger 155 VLDs, but have used 175 VLDs. I loaded the bullets close to the rifling, and single loaded to fire. How is 155's? Do you seat it to mag length?

I don't load these for my M-14; only for my bolt actions. As you know, to get the most out of VLD designs, they need to be loaded to touch the rifling or just off the rifling. Your guess is as good as mine how they would perform if you had to load them to mag length; that's an experiment I may just try with my M-14.

Out of my Savage 110FP, I'm getting close to 2800fps with 44.0gr IMR 4895 using Win cases, Rem 9 1/2 primers. Accuracy at 100 is one ragged hole 5 shot groups (if I do my part ). Super flat shooting too.

What are you guys talking about? 168SMK will NOT get you to 1000yds. Period. I couldn't see HOW, ballistically.

Now, the M25 is a 7.62NATO chambered gun, so first off, don't jump in with HOT .308WIN loads, it would be dangerous. Same argument/reason why not to put HOT 5.56NATO into .223REM gun (in the .308 world, it is jsut reversed).

Also, the M25 only have a 22" barrel, getting to 1000yds would be difficult... so, OP, you may want to lower your expectation a little bit, start with 600yds and 800yds.... then 168SMK work, and will work well with your gun.....

+1 Badreligion. My M1A likes 41.0 grains, same result.

I have never fired my M-1A at 1,000 yards, only fired up to 600 yards for service rifle matches. I shoot 175gr MK bullets at 600 yards. According to the ballistics table, it has a capability to 1,000 yards in the M-1A's. I should try it one of thee days.

for the M1A or a 308 bolt gun you need 2650fps MINIMUM! I load to achieve 2680-2690fps using the Sierra 175gr SMK, LC brass, 44.5gr Varget, CCI BR-2 primer.

A poster listed 41.5gr of H4895 with a 168gr SMK.. while that is a decent load, it won't make it out to 600yds.

for 600yds 42.0-42.5gr Varget with a 175gr SMK, CCI200 primer and you're good to go...

The 168 isn't going to make it to 1000yds out of an M1A.

I'd recommend a 175, some IMR4064 or Varget and a chronograph. You're going to have to lean on it pretty hard (i.e. close enough to max that I'm not going to lend you my data).
