    Ammo corrosion question

Okay, perhaps a stupid question, but here goes.

I had some 20 gauge shotgun shells in a ziplock bag in the pocket of the shotgun bag. There was a hole in the pocket so I put the shells in a ziplock and forgot they were there. I know that is not the way to store ammo, but I just plain forgot they were in the side pocket.
Now there is some white powder in the bag, I assume corrosion? About a tablespoon of white powder mixed in with the shells.

My stupid question is.....now what? Are the shells bad, what do I do with them now? Can I clean the powder out? If they are bad, what do I do with them?

I live by the motto, better to ask a stupid question than be stupid forever.

Dis-mantle the ammo, throw the powder on the lawn, oil the primers then
    dispose of them.

Save the shot if its not corroded (probably is, that would explain the white powder).
