Reloading 6.5 Creedmoor with IMR4350 or H4831, any success?

With H4350 being such a unicorn to find has any one had any success with either IMR4350 or H4831? I use H4831 in .270win using 140 grain Barnes bullets I would think It would do well using it with 140 grain bullets in 6.5 Creedmoor.

I have booth powders and I'm just wondering if anyone has any satisfactory results using either?

My roommate uses IMR4350 in his 6.5s. He seems to like it.

I'm using 4831 in 260 rem. Going to try it with rl23, too. I'm not going to bother with h4350 since it's not always readily available.

JRB did a nice comparison between H4350 and IMR4350 with a 143 eldx

          Thanks guys.

If you get a chance ask your roommate what bullet weight he loads and if he doesn't mind what IMR 4350 charge he uses. I understand starting low and working my way up checking for pressure signs ans all that.

          Thanks- Geo

                Huh...
I would have thought 4831 would be too slow burning for 6.5 Creedmoor.
Back to the books, I guess.

IMR4350 is temp sensitive. I’d advise you to try IMR4451 instead. It’s very close to H4350 in both burn speed and temp sensitivity. Also RL16 is a great alternative. Very temp stable and usually produces higher velocity with less pressure than H4350.

Yeah, it's slower burning but I was wondering how it would do with the heavier bullets like the 143, 147 and 150 grain 6.5 mm bullets?
