Not that it should matter too much, but have you regularly replaced the recoil spring on this gun? 3k rounds should not be the lifetime of a slide lock lever. Sometimes you get a lemon with a replacement part in any mechanical device. Have you inspected both broken levers and is the failure point the same?

The slide lock on my M&P broke about 20k rounds into its life but that was because I was using it as a slide release. They've since changed the design to make the right angle bend of the lever beefier. I've also changed my technique to use the slingshot method to chamber the first round and 40k rounds later, no problems.

S&W replaced the part for free. A new one is only $19, but they are pretty good at lifetime support. I hope Glock does the same and while the lever isn't expensive st $8(?), I'm sure you don't want to have to replace it every 3k rounds.

Thanks for your input. I did replace the recoil spring a couple of months ago (2500 or so rounds). The lever broke in the same place so I think it a weak spot. I hope the first replacement was a lemon and I don't mind replacing it whenever I change out the recoil spring every 3000 rounds or so.I just don't think I should have to.
