If you do not make hot loads, you shouldn't need a buldge buster.

I have used it for my hot 10mm loads. I can't remember using it for any 40S&W loads.

Be sure to ask your doctor if depression, rectal bleeding, and suicide are right for you.

In the United States a person's expertise on a subject is inversely proportional to their knowledge of the subject: The less they know about something, the more they become an expert on it.

You will know when you need to bust the bulges when the rounds won't completely chamber and the gun won't go in to battery. It's also a ***** to extract the loaded rounds and rack the slide.

It's the bulging that overworks them. If the reloaded bulged cases are useless because they won't chamber, your costs per round are higher than if you just tossed the bulged cases or busted the bulges.

Reloading these days isn't as simple as it used to be. Used to be I could just pick up any piece of brass and reload it without a care. Now I have to sort out the 9mm cases that won't resize, like CBC and a couple others, bust the bulges on 9 and 40 and sort out the SPP 45 brass.

I had a Browning Hi Power in 40 S&W when they came out. The brass would bulge. I freaked out (45 ACP from a SIG P220 didn’t do it). I called Browning and sent them the gun and some brass. They put an engineer on it and I received a full detailed report. It was rather impressive. They checked everything before giving me the go ahead to shoot the gun. They said it was safe to shoot. They told me to monitor the brass closely for stress if I were to reload. They said I could likely just reload it three times max if I didn’t want to inspect the cases all the time. I decided two reloads max was easier and never had an issue.
