.223 Case Neck Marks

    .223 Case Neck Marks

    I'm guessing the marks on the case neck are from crimping the bullet but I'd like to be sure. No apparent cracks or other damage on the inside. Case is a .223, Winchester head stamp, range pickup. Some are like this while others are smooth.

    Yep. Factory Crimp marks.
    Lee rifle dies crimp like that also.

    Those marks don't go away after resizing.
    Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
    I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

      They are OK. Just from a heavy factory crimp or Lee crimp.

            this lead me to believe those are NOT a factory crimp marks, someone had already reloaded the brass using Lee dies and most likely over crimped some and not others.
