    Good Shops In L.A.?

I'm looking for recommendations for shops with good powder selections / bullet selections. I'd like to experiment with a few different loads and bullet weights and would like to not break the bank. Also, would like to build some custom home defense loads.

Where do you folks go locally to pick up smaller amounts for testing?

    I'm just reloading 9mm.

Since I'm using a Lee 1000 I need to have CCI or Remington primers as other types can get stuck in the primer feeder, so anyplace that has decent prices on those would be helpful as well.

Also, if you know a place that sells hotshot in the area (can't believe Turners doesn't carry that) I'd be grateful.

I'm currently located in the valley, but willing to drive a bit for good prices and a shop with good people.

Camarillo Gun Shop. Good selection of powder, primers, reloading supplies, etc, with average prices. Angeles Range store. Also a good selection, but a little higher priced.

Angeles Range Reloading Store may have been damaged in the fire; call ahead. The range office burned.

Angeles gun store is open 10am to 4pm. Have no phones yet. They survived the fire. Try oaktree for components.

Stopped by Camarillo today and was very happy. They had bullseye, hotshot and the 9mm bullets I was looking for. Also they had the SA 1911 9mm in stock so I got to get a feel for it (been looking for a 1911 9mm for a bit and this one's still on roster).

I'll be back at this shop, would recommend to anyone looking for reloading supplies.

I like Phillips Wholesale a lot. Even when stuff was scarce he didn't gouge, it was first come first served at the standard price. I even saw people try to bribe him to hold stuff, "no, but show up first thing Saturday morning and you might get lucky". He also gets a lot of second hand stuff in that usually sells pretty cheap. He specializes in shot shell loading, but has lots of options for metallic cartridges. His main primer sales are in cases, but he has a couple big boxes of various primers you can go through and buy individual packs of.

Some bullet manufacturers/retailers sell sample bags. I've seen it, but don't recall who. And even if they don't advertise it some may do it if you ask.

If you want some small amounts of stuff to play with and are willing to come to 91745 PM me, I have several flavors that work in 9mm. I also have some various boxes of primers.

Glad that worked out for you. It's a little cramped in there, huh?

Not as cramped as it was three weeks ago. We've been selling **** faster than I can buy it.

I'm putting in purchase orders for 2018 and we qualify for better pricing in some cases, due to you guys. If I get better cost, you get better price.
