      The green tips were only put on for the military as an identifier. The ones you are buying are made to military spec for the commercial market. They don't mark the tips to reduce the cost of manufacturing. The same way you can buy penetrator projectiles for reloading and there are no green tips. When you see green tip ammo that is military contract ammo or surplus ammo.

        The Green Tip is literally just paint to identify the round. I believe they use other colors for different things.
