Just a small amount of lemi shine, like literally just a pinch as if you were seasoning some food, and turtle wax (it's called zip wax) which is a car wash soap /wax cleaner you can get at pep boys or other automotive stores usually. I add like a teaspoon into the wet tumbler, and the tumbler is half loaded.

Also check out my thread in the reloading section sub forum. Other people have chimed in too with what they use.

Do you recommend this over Dawn?

I use a 9mm case filled with Citric Acid (got it at Walmart) and a small squirt of Dawn in my Frankford Arsenal wet tumbler with stainless steel pins.

          Works great.

People like to use a "wax and wash" over dawn because they feel like the wax in detergent will leave a protective coating VS leaving the brass extremely clean which could possibly tarnish with some moisture.

Seems like it's been working better than dawn, so yes this is what I would recommend, it also has wax to help lock in the metal so that it doesn't tarnish as fast.

I use a bit more Lemi Shine (.45ACP case) for about 1k cases (usually .38spl) in a F.A.R.T. and leave out the stainless pins...just makes the whole process quicker.

While Dawn has been the long standing favorite, I've had better luck with ArmorAll Wash & Wax. Besides prolonging the polish, I find that the extra slickness makes the cases easier to process...Dawn leaves the cases too clean.

I'm only tumbling 1-1.5 hours and not letting the cases sit in the dirty water

Citric acid and Palmolive antibacterial. Works for me.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

I use a touch of lemi shine (as mentioned, around a 9mm case full) and some cheapo dish washing liquid which is not sold anymore called "Crystal White" (by palmolive).

I actually found Dawn would leave black stuff on the cases which may or may not be the rubber liner dissolved by the Dawn. That's just a theory.

I tried armor all car wash, but felt that it left the cases a bit greasy feeling.

Keep in mind I might just not be rinsing the brass well enough.

I used citric acid as well (and have a lot of it) but one day found Lemi-shine in the 50% discount bin at Safeway and bought like 6 bottles of it, so I use that instead. Seems to work a little better, but that may just be my imagination.

...well, that would be the other explanation

9mm case full of lemi-shine and a squirt (maybe a tablespoon or so ) of dawn with hot water. Always comes out like fresh white gold brass. Store your brass in a an air tight container. Add a desiccant pack to keep moisture out. No tarnish issues.

It appears none of you actually read my question.
Lemi Shine has several different products on the market.
What I as is which one you guys use.
I did not ask for alternatives.
I have read all of them already.

Oh haha, I didn't realize there was more than one version of lemi shine... But this one is the one I use.
