I do OAL and don't check each pill . If it looks funny ,

Good news is you can do whichever way you want: CBTO, OAL, Bearing surface, Cartridge base to Ogive, etc.

Just slap on your comparator to the caliper and measure away!

Wish I would just buy nice consistent bullets that don't need sorting, but I already have a butt-load of Nosler RDFs whose weights and ogive lengths are all over the place.

As mentioned, pre-orders to come in about a week on the website. First run is 200 units and is expected to start shipping end of Dec. Gen 2 will allow for this to be used on digital balance scales and should be more or less a software/app update with hardware to interface with a balance scale.

When it comes to sorting does anyone have/use an indicator micrometer?

I only do OAL .
I set the caliper to what I consider max length [ by
that I mean I measure and set caliper to zero @
that length ] Anything over goes back to press -
under amount is checked - if in range - put in box .
If not , it gets pulled apart .
I am different from most , after a tube or tray [ 44
and 50 mag - de ] , I / we check powder dump and AOL .
Yes I am on a Lee [ load master ] and found powder
can and does drift .
Dies and or tool head seats after 50 or so cartridges
so they get checked - OAL and I look at last couple
of cases for scratches
[ BTW - I drilled and taped 2more holes in press and
use set screws- the non pointed ones that look like a
star on end ]

TonyJr, there are different methods and techniques for sorting, The indicator micrometer way to sort bullets and cases as fast as a reloader can pick them up. When it comes to height bullets and cases can be sorted as fast as a reloader can pick them up and sit them down, I do not know if there is a company that makes that type of tool for that purpose.

I tried mics and manual calipers - they kept drifting .
I have one special die , good for AOL but does not I D
short ones .
Right now I set a harbor freight one [ put in a good cartridge and zero at that length ] . Too long goes back to press . Too short and checked if still good or put aside to have bullet pulled .
For me it is just plinking now , I have not hunted since 2000 - both knees replaced .
