    $75 for Xtreme 55gr?

I haven't kept up with reloading prices in little while now. I got xtreme bullets email today for 20% off and thought maybe I'd get some 55gr bullets. Holy crap! 75 bucks! When did the prices sky rocket on these? Was .08/.09 cents a bullet not too long ago.

That does seem high, it's been a while since I have bought some as well.

If you do a search in the Private Reloading Sales forum, there at least two folks selling the type of bullet you want for a pretty reasonable price. Probably Hornady rather than Xtreme.

I know nothing about Xtreme FMJ projectiles but I'd be reluctant to pay 15 cents a pop for ballistic tipped varmint bullets, let alone the FMJs I use for practice.

        Buy 5000 and they are.

        Or you could go Hornady.
