Redding T7

Anybody here using T7's, ordered it and it should be here soon. I'm going to use this to reload 300 WM Bolt action and 308 AR., Getting RCBS Comp. Die sets for 308 and Redding Hunter series die sets for 300 WM.

Also ordered RCBS chargemaster lite, Frankford Arenal 7L wet tumbler, RSBS Auto Priming tool, L.E. Wilson Gages for 300 WM & 308 Speer #14 Manual, Lyman Prep case kit and bunch of acc. needed for reloading. I just need to finish my reloading bench and get some brass and powders.

Absolutely no complaints.
Load all my precision and oddball calibers on it.

Now go to ebay type in Redding T7 and look for the rurrets . .
Clisk on one and then followthis seach . When 1 or more are postedat your price jomp on it / them .
You don't need another tool head now [ till you learn ] but you will want later

Not using a T7, but using a Rock Chucker Supreme.

I Am using an RCBS Chargemaster Lite. works well, pretty consistent but i still double check the charge on a gempro250.

I'd recommend an Inline Fabrication ultra mount. I have the press and mount screwed/bolted down to a thin, cheap, 1/2' table top and clamp the whole setup down to my workbench.

That way i can remove and clear up space to work on my rifles.

don't forget a case trimmer and chamfer tools

I just sold my T7. Once I got the Forster CO-AX it was collecting dust. Turret will have play which will cause runout. I had milled the turret spacer to remove most of it which made turning the turret a little harder but it reduced runout. You are better off getting a CO-AX IMO.

I absolutely love mine. You hardly ever see them for sale because nobody wants to get rid of them. I shoot maybe 100 rounds a week, so getting a full blown progressive press would take up too much space for how much I would use it. But a single stage was getting a bit annoying, especially with batch processing. I would decap/resize/reprime 100 at a time, then flare 100 at a time, then throw powder seat and crimp all at once. This lead to having a bunch of half processed rounds at all stages of reload in a dozen containers taking up space. Now I just load rounds to completion, and its great. Just having a piece of brass on the press from start to finish is great because I know exactly whats going on and what happens next.

I am on a loadmaster and if one comes up cheap [ T-7 or another loadmaster ] , I will pick it up [T -7 would have to have at least 2 tool heads ]
I have 6 nephews and 2 nieces that reload here .
I / we decap and prime off press but for pistol cases , all the die spots are filled . [ 7 Pistol calibers ]
While I have a single stage , it is used mostly for OAL .
The rifle cases are decapped , bell and sized on press [ hand deprimer does not like bottle necks ]
With another 2 die holes I could auto check OAL and powder fill .

If you were a 'Real Reloader' you would own both a Forester and a Redding T7.

I enjoy my T7. Really speeds up the batch process vs. a single stage without the complexity of a progressive. Few would have any issues with the quality of ammo it can produce.
