I'm looking at 2 kits, Hornady Lock N Load Classic Reloading Press Kit and the RCBS RockChucker Supreme Master Kit. I'd like some opinions on these two kits. There is a 20 dollar difference where the Hornady is the cheaper of the two. I kind like the Hornady Press more than the RCBS, but I like that the RCBS kit comes with a nice beam scale... Kinda hard to choose...

RCBS vs Hornady Reloading kits?
Tags: None -
I prefer the RCBS, not only is ATK a few miles away from me in Oroville, every time I break a part RCBS is quick to send me a replacement!I once pondered over the debate of 9mm vs. .40, then I was introduced to .38 super and 10mm and forgot all about it. -
ditch the beam scale. at the end of the day...it comes down to..which color you like. I dont care for green in my reloading room. dont get me wrong. i like their products but just dont dig green. I roll with USC so red is how i rollComment

Choose the cheapest kit and powder coat everything blue. I personally own a blue Dillon classic turret pressComment

Sounds like they have great customer service. Thanks for sharing.
Why ditch the beam scale?
Hence why it's a hard decision, you'd think that that since hornady makes great bullets that they would make pretty good loading gear.
Again, hard decision.
Another question, how do the powder measures compare, I've heard good things about the RCBS Uniflow that is in the kit I'm looking at, but not sure about the Hornady kit.
Also for the single stage press, how does priming compare, the one on the Hornady seems great and seems expandible as you can add an automatic priming device I guess.Comment

I own that starter kit by rcbs. I own the hornady progressive press. Also a Dillon 550 and Redding single stage.
I've spoken will the big three at shot show. I've dealt with all their customer services (minus lee)
Rcbs and Redding best service.
Rcbs no questions asked.
Redding. Bought a press from them at shot show. The ram was out of spec, they sent me a new press.
Dillon no b.s. warranty. They've given me a hard time once when trying to return an out of spec die. Minus points for that
Hornady - I'm pissed enough at then to sell off all my hornady stuff. There questioned me on why I needed a shim kit for the known problem with their powder measure backing out. They lost my dies for 3 months when getting one back in spec and the other in spec. They sent the wrong dies back to me. F em.
They have great bullets but that's about all I'll purchase from them anymore. No more reloading supplies.
Rcbs has a better scale with the kit, too

+1 on RCBS warranty. I had a tight depriming expander, new one on the way after about 12 seconds in the phone.Originally posted by smashycrashyDamn, you are right, I suckOriginally posted by OleCussI despise Trump.Comment

I like Hornady and their war service was great to me.
I really like RCBS and their war service has been better than great for many years.
Get a beam scale and use it as a back up to any electronic unit you buy. I have a Hornady 50BMG loader and the quick change dies do not do anything for me. It takes 30 seconds to change dies and I batch process brass so it is no big deal.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.
