    Using magnum sr primers

I have about 1200 small rifle magnum primers and I'm not loading any rifle ammo, can I use them in my 9mm, 40 or 38 super, I have used standard cci rifle primers before but I'm unsure about the magnum, gunpowder that I'll be using is bullseye

Yes, they will fit. They are slightly "harder" and some pistols will produce light primer strikes.

Back in the 1990's it was common the use SR primers in 38 Super and 9mm when loading to meet major power factor.

Intoforever once loaded some up in .38 or .357 (I forget) and the exact same load with SPPs. He came over and shot them through my Oelher 35P. surprisingly, the SRMPs produced LESS MV than regular SPPs.

I do it all the time. Some main springs will not ignite them due to hard primer cup. They will work but it's hit or miss

I loaded .357 with magnum small rifle before. My S&W would only fire them in single action; double action wasn't strong enough to set off the primer.

I've loaded 9mm with SRM. Just reduce the powder charge a bit and work it up to be on the safe side.
