    Ammo question

Looking for reputable factory .223 or 5.56 brass cased ammo that is 62gr and not steel core or green tip. It seems anything from Federal that is "XM855", Angeles Range doesn't allow. It has to do with the ammo hitting steel and causing sparks to ignite nearby brush (as I was told).

This stuff from Aguila runs very nice and accurate.

not steel core or green tip.
One day I saw what looked like a real good deal on ammo, $4.60 for 80 rounds, I called Cheaper than Dirt, I asked them if the ammo could be picked up with a magnet, and they said 'NO?'. I drove 40 + miles one way, before purchasing the ammo I asked them if they had a magnet? Sure enough they had one screwed to the wall behind the cash register. All that was necessary was to slap a 5 round clip against the magnet and there it stayed. Andy how, the ammo was made with streak-er bullets. And then there are bullets that are painted green on the tips, I have that type ammo in 30/06, when the bullet hits something it creates what looks like a black greasy spot because the bullets fragments.

After that there is AP, that would be a black tipped bullet. I have absolutely no interest in shooting any of this this stuff.

Check out sgammo.com. They have good prices on stuff. I like federal American eagle. SG has videos of all the ammo where they do a magnet test. Depending on your rate of twist, 55 or 62 might be better.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.
