    Barnes 235 grain TSX & 375 H&H?

Anyone use the Barnes 235 grain TSX bullets for their 375 H&H? I've been using Barnes exclusively for my 375. Wanting to get a lighter weight bullet to round out my loads.

What's your opinion of them...accuracy, terminal performance, miscellaneous? I've been using, up to this point, IMR 4064. Heard good things about Re15 and the 375. Might give that a try with the 235 grain.

i can't comment on the 375 H&H. i have used IMR 4064 in my 6.5x55 mauser and have had good results at the range. no luck on game though. it was very dry last year and hardly any deer to be seen where i went.

how many grains are you using for your 375?

i know this about the Barnes bullets the lighter bullets will hit like a heavier grain bullet.

    for example:

i use a 130gr. for my mauser it will hit like a 140gr lead bullet.

i also have 140gr Barnes (no longer made) it will hit like my 160gr lead bullet i have.

so the lighter bullet you want to use will have an impact of a heavier bullet.

good luck to you. have fun.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

      Thanks, Chris.

I'm using 270 grain TSX, 300 grain TSX, and 300 grain banded solids. Pretty much covers anything that walks...well, once I get the 235s in there.

I use the 300 grain TSX in my 375 H&H with IMR 4064. My gun didn't like the the 270 grain TSX but loved the 260 grain Nosler Partition with IMR 4350. The Partition load was going to be my North America load but since they have the Condor areas I'm going to try the 235 grain TSX next.

Let me know what you try and I'll do the same after I buy some of them.

Fjold...I just ordered 50 bullets from Midway. Should get them shortly, then start working up a load. I'll let you know how things do...
